I love decorating for holidays and various seasons throughout the year. When we lived in Georgia I had decorations for practically every holiday, and I loved it so much. When we moved back to Utah we'd gotten rid of so many of those pieces, and we've slowly been rebuilding the collection since. I love how things turned out in our home this fall, and I'm not only excited to show you how we decorated, but this is the first real peek that I've given of our new living/dinning/kitchen areas, so this mini tour feels extra special in that regard too.
First up, we have our TV area. Our TV stand was an awesome Walmart find. I painted these white bottles almost four years ago for this old fall home tour. We stuck some fun orange leaves in them, and placed our holiday countdown blocks from the Target Dollar Spot in the middle, and called this section good! Next to the TV we have our dog kennel. A brand had sent me that big fluffy plaid pumpkin a couple years ago, and I thought it was perfect for this spot!
One thing my mom did when decorating for the holidays was display some holiday themed picture books on the coffee table. This is definitely something I want our kids to remember from their childhood, and so I try and remember to do this as much as possible.
Our bookshelf behind our couch is by far my favorite part of our fall decor! It's just so bright, fun and clean! The centerpiece with the mason jars was from this Dollar Tree DIY post I did last week. We had these tin buckets from a summer blog post we'd done a year ago, and I decided to fill them with some plastic pumpkins I'd grabbed at Hobby Lobby last year. It's all super simple and inexpensive, but super cute!
This is the first time I've ever put decor on our kitchen counters, and I'm questioning all my life decisions, because I love having the counters decorated so much! I got this white cake stand from the Target Dollar Spot over the summer, and the glass pumpkins were from Dollar Tree this year!
The wood tray in the middle of the island is from the Target Dollar Spot as well, and the metal jar holder is from Amazon. Each season I've gotten new flowers from Dollar Tree to put into these jars, and it gives it such a fun and festive look!
Last we have our dinning table. I got this centerpiece and the placemats from TJ Maxx last year, and I was so glad to see that they survived the move and held up in storage for a year! I started putting placemats on our table last fall and I love the look of them so much! They protect the wood of the table from kids banging forks and spoons, but also still lets you see the beautiful wood underneath. I'm never going back to tablecloths ever again, I promise!
