Tonight I had to use up the last little bit of the ground beef that was in our fridge so I decided to make some meatballs. However, I wasn't really in the spaghetti mood. But then I remembered a recipe that I learned from one of my roommates back in the day for sweet and sour meatballs and I decided to give it a try! These came out really good and Derek liked them too! It's always better when you make something and your husband likes it, at least for me!
Recipe By: Me
Ingredients:
1 12 oz jar of chili sauce
1 1/2 cup grape jelly
Meatballs (use my meatball recipe if you like!)
Directions:
Whip up a batch of your favorite meatballs and cook per instructions
In a pan, combine the chili sauce and the grape jelly over medium heat and stir until it's one even mixture.
Once your sauce is even with no lumps add the meatballs to the pot and stir.
Turn the heat to low and let the meatballs sit in the sauce for 10 minutes.
Then enjoy your tasty meatballs!
no lie, we had these exact same meatballs at our wedding open house 27+ years ago - my mom made a big ol' crockpot full of them :)
ReplyDeleteClearly you and Grandma Karen have VERY good taste :)
ReplyDeleteHi! The link for the meatballs doesn't work. Do you have the recipe located somewhere else?
