When I was working for a satellite company over the summer, one of my friends, Haylee, brought in the most delicious oreo truffles once for treat day! Tonight Derek and I are going to a farewell party for our friend Caesar and I thought that these would be the perfect treat to bring!
Ingredients:
1 package regular Oreos
1 8oz square cream cheese
chocolate for melting (I used chocolate flavored almond bark)
Directions:
- Smash Oreos into a fine crumbly mixture (I did this in my Kitchen Aide mixer)
- Then mix in the cream cheese (this will make it a pretty thick consistency for you to work with)
- Make dough into 1in balls and place on cookie sheet lined with wax paper until you have no more dough left
- Place in the fridge for 30 minutes to let balls harden
- In a microwaveable bowl, melt chocolate in 30 second increments with stirring in between
- Once chocolate is melted drop one ball in and coat it on all sides
- Then pass the ball between two forks over the bowl to let the excess chocolate run off
- Then place back on the wax paper
- Repeat this until you have no more balls left
- Place in the fridge to let harden until you are ready to serve!

Now I make these and take them to LINX!! HaHa. Next time you make them, you should totally try dipping them in white chocolate, SO GOOD!! I also saw some on Pinterest that were dipped in Mint chocolate...interesting. I hope you are doing well!! How do you like Heritage??
ReplyDeleteWhite chocolate sounds DELICIOUS! I miss all you guys at Linx! Heritage is great, we decided to go to the Family Ward but we're really loving it. We're actually thinking about going to a 2 bedroom next year though when we go to renew our lease... what was the name of the place you guys are in that's owned by the same people? How are the baby plans going!?
